Each initiative is carefully crafted to address the unique needs of pupils whether it&#8217;s raising attainment, enhancing engagement, or delivering bespoke interventions that promote holistic development.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_4 et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_close et_pb_module\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">The Re-Education Programme Model<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\"><p>This model has been developed to work collaboratively with school leaders in delivering a re-education approach that supports pupils identified as higher-level concerns. These are typically pupils who fall into one or more of the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have experienced repeated suspensions from school<\/li>\n<li>Have been involved in one or more serious behavioural incidents<\/li>\n<li>Are currently attending an off-site provision or respite placement<\/li>\n<li>Are at risk of permanent exclusion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">With a wide-ranging suite of<strong>\u00a0<span>over<\/span>\u00a0<span>35<\/span>\u00a0adaptable\u00a0<span>re<\/span>&#8211;<span>education <\/span><span>projects<\/span><\/strong>, the model offers schools a powerful, <b>ready-to-implement toolkit<\/b>\u00a0aligned with your MIS behaviour categories, which enables school leaders to provide targeted support that can be tailored to your context and priorities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<h6><strong>Evidence to support the initiative<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">\u201cHaving a strong re-education programme enables schools to understand the expectations set out for to have a clear strategy for reintegrating a pupil who returns to school following a suspension and for managing their future behaviour.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Ofsted, School Inspection Handbook (2024)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<h6><strong>Impact of the Re-Education Programme Model<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>This model provides a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>clear strategy<\/strong><\/span> for pupils to reflect on an incident that has led to their <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>internal exclusion<\/strong><\/span> or <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>supsension,<\/strong><\/span> in addition to providing them with the \u201ctoolkit\u201d they require to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>avoid repeating<\/strong><\/span> the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>behaviours<\/strong><\/span> that led to the sanctions(s) they received.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_5 et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_close et_pb_module\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">The True Stories Initiative<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\"><p>Our <strong>flagship initiative True Stories<\/strong> is a pioneering <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>drama-based initiative<\/strong><\/span>. The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>key themes<\/strong><\/span> are centred around <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>real-life traumatic events<\/strong><\/span> adolescents and teenagers experience in their everyday lives, including <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>drug-addicted parents, underage relationships, domestic violence, family bereavement<\/strong><\/span>, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>gang violence.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>drama practitioners<\/strong><\/span> who <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>specialise<\/strong><\/span> in facilitating our \u00a0workshops centred around the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>key themes<\/strong><\/span> during <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>curriculum time<\/strong><\/span> or as an afterschool activity over a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>6\u201312-week<\/strong><\/span> period for targeted intervention groups, a larger selection of pupils from a year group\/cohort or a whole class depending on an <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>institution\u2019s preference<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>We can <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>facilitate<\/strong><\/span> a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>free one-day taster session<\/strong><\/span> which will afford all institutions the opportunity to fully understand the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>personal<\/strong><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>academic benefits<\/strong><\/span> the full initiative has on participating pupils.<\/p>\n<h6><strong><br \/>Evidence to support the initiative<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Research from ACEs demonstrates that being exposed to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>four<\/strong><\/span> or more <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>significant adverse experiences<\/strong><\/span> tends to affect <strong>children\u2019s<\/strong> and teenagers\u2019 behaviour as well as their physical and mental health, <strong>both immediately<\/strong> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>throughout their lives.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rhodes, Long, Moore, et al (EEF, 2019)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>research<\/strong> indicates that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>interventions<\/strong><\/span> need to be tailored to the needs of the participants and that \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>effective interventions<\/strong><\/span> can close <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>achievement gaps<\/strong><\/span> and improve <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>student success.<\/strong><\/span>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Burns, Riley-Tillman, Rathvon (2017)<\/strong><\/p>\n<h6><strong><br \/>Impact of the True Stories Initiative<br \/><\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>We make it a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>priority<\/strong><\/span> to request data on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>attendance, behaviour<\/strong><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>academic progress<\/strong><\/span> at the start of the programme. This has supported us over a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>6\u201312-week<\/strong><\/span> programme to successfully deliver the intervention over numerous <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>schools<\/strong><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>alternative provisions<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The most notable programme we delivered was supporting the raising of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>academic aspirations<\/strong><\/span> of pupils at the drama specialist school <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Bridge Academy<\/strong><\/span> as part of their <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>2-year GCSE course<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">&#8220;<\/span>Proven benefits to pupils&#8217; education confidence, and aspirations<\/p>\n<p>True Sories has consistently shown <strong>educational, social,<\/strong> and <strong>psychological<\/strong> benefits for participants due to its relevance to the lived experiences of today\u2019s youth.<\/p>\n<p>PGS worked with students completing a <strong>two year<\/strong> GCSE Drama course, using their True Stories workshops to build a strong ensemble through script work and <strong>team-building<\/strong>. The material deeply resonated, driving student <strong>engagement<\/strong>, boosting <b>confidence<\/b>, and raising both <strong>aspirations<\/strong> and <strong>academic outcomes<\/strong>.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Natasha Coccia Clark, Associate Senior Leader \/ Subject Leader of Drama, Bridge Academy<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_6 et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_close et_pb_module\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Unlocking the Potential Initiative<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\"><p>Unlocking Your Potential is a bespoke<u><strong> 6\u201312<\/strong> <\/u>week initiative designed in <strong>collaboration<\/strong> with school leaders\/KS4 lead to facilitate a programme that has a targeted focus on the<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> golden 20 pupils<\/strong><\/span> in Years 10 and 11. The following categories can be used as a guide to support school leaders in selecting the pupils they believe would benefit most from participating in the initiative\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><u> \u00a0TARGETED MOTIVATIONAL ASSEMBLIES FOR KS4 STUDENTS\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of the <em>Unlocking Your Potential<\/em> initiative, targeted motivational assemblies are delivered by an experienced Key Stage 4 lead. These assemblies are designed to support your \u2018Golden 20\u2019 pupils by providing a clear overview of the academic and pastoral support available to help them realise their full potential.<\/p>\n<p>With a focus on building momentum and raising aspirations ahead of final GCSE exams, the assemblies explore key themes such as:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Positive behaviour and growth mindset<br \/>\u2022 Resilience and self-belief<br \/>\u2022 Goal-setting and academic focus<\/p>\n<p>Where appropriate, these assemblies can also be delivered to the full year group if school leaders feel that a wider cohort would benefit from the messages shared with the targeted intervention group.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<h6><strong>Evidence to support the initiative <\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>The use of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>DTT (Diagnosis, Therapy, Testing)<\/strong><\/span> model to identify the appropriate intervention to support pupils across a school enables us to select the <strong>most appropriate\/impactful<\/strong> academic interventions that will contribute to <strong>progress over time<\/strong> for pupils.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to create a balance between pupils having extrinsic motivation through gaining <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>rewards<\/strong><\/span> and the intrinsic <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>motivation<\/strong><\/span> that is crucial to improving resilience and achieving <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>goals<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rhodes, Long, Moore, et al (EEF, 2019)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<h6><strong>Impact of Unlocking Your Potential Initiative\u00a0<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>The <em>Unlocking Your Potential<\/em> initiative has been successfully implemented in several schools, delivering a meaningful impact on academic outcomes through targeted interventions with selected &#8216;Golden 20&#8217; pupils.<\/p>\n<p>The programme is further enhanced by a bespoke Year 11 rewards system, which recognises and celebrates both academic achievement and personal development, motivating pupils to show resilience,\u00a0 remain focused and engaged at such a critical juncture of their education<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_7 et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_close et_pb_module\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">PGS-Educators Intervention Programme<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix\"><p>This <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>bespoke initiative<\/strong><\/span> is designed to enable your pupils to receive <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>personalised<\/strong><\/span> support that will provide them with the platform to achieve <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>academic success<\/strong><\/span>. We understand the importance of considering contextual factors and therefore structure the programme to the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>needs<\/strong><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>requirements<\/strong><\/span> of the institution we are working with.<\/p>\n<p>The programme that our <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>practitioners<\/strong><\/span> deliver takes place over <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>6-12 weeks<\/strong><\/span> and can cover a multitude of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>real-life issues<\/strong><\/span> that may be affecting a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>pupil\u2019s attendance<\/strong><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>behaviour<\/strong><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>academic progress<\/strong><\/span> including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Self-Awareness<\/li>\n<li>Social Emotional Literacy<\/li>\n<li>Adolescence and Growth<\/li>\n<li>Anger Management<\/li>\n<li>Future Aspirations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also use one or more of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>key indicators<\/strong><\/span> such as <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>attendance, behaviour<\/strong><\/span> and academic performance data to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>track<\/strong><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>monitor<\/strong><\/span> pupil progress and ensure we achieve the targeted <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>outcomes<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<h6><strong>Evidence to support the initiative <\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>The average impact of behaviour interventions is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>four additional months\u2019 progress<\/strong><\/span> over the course of a year.
